Good morning. First, I liked Martina very much. She is really delightful. I think she is good at teaching people with little to no experience with watercolor like me. She was very helpful and interested in teaching. I am glad I attended the class, however, there were issues I need to mention. I know you do not have control over the weather. It was certainly not the instructor's fault either. The winds were 13-20 mph with gusts as well. It was 55 degrees at 10 AM and 58 at 12 AM. The temperature would be great, but the wind made it impossible for me to hear her. It was a struggle for me the entire class. It was cold and windy, as I said, and so I was miserable. At one point, there was a gust of wind and another student's pad of watercolor paper flew up and hit me in the chin, which demonstrates the windiness of the morning. There was nothing to break the wind. All that being said, I want to take more classes, however, I want to know if you give refunds or credit for another class if there is weather that isn't conducive to learning. Or do you ever have indoor venues? I am very interested in learning much more about watercolor and will take as many classes as I am able. Kind regards, Rebecca Marseglia

It was cold outside but that wasn't the instructor's fault. Martina was very encouraging as a instructor and chose good exercises to learn with. My wife and I enjoyed the class. We would definitely take a class again with Martina.

Painting is not based on a photo reference. It's purely something from my imagination. Painting is about little Asian lady trying to rescue her boat from the oncoming storm. Sun is setting on right as ominous storm rolls in over the mountain. Wind blowing severely from left to right. Painting is mostly watercolor 18x24 inches with a bit of pastel.

This painting is a merging of two Tarot cards: the Three of Clubs, and The Sun. The two cards are my favorite in the deck. The Three of Clubs symbolizes optimism and travel. The Sun repressent freedom, joy, and harmony. I combined the two in order to represent a vision of a hopeful and open future.

This painting is inspired from my love of water and the ocean. I attempted to capture the moody atmosphere of a warm and beautiful day looking out into the sea. Relaxing and soothing crashing waves and swirls of water that carry the observer into a daydream.

This was a photo I used from pixabay by Couler, of a Snowman figurine. I thought it was so cute and festive with his Christmas cookie in hand! I sketched it out and added a snow scape behind him giving the feel of a chilly winters day! I got such a great response from followers, that I had some prints and Christmas cards made from this painting!

I was on a tour vacation to Greece and Turkey and some islands in Aegean Sea. I have been creating travel sketchbooks over the past few years and the outcome is I am able to retain some great memories of the life lived in international places. This small fruit and spices vendor presented a colorful opportunity for me in a small side street of market vendors while walking back to our ship.

Spring is in the air. I have recently been doing some daffodil paintings. For this painting I did a wash and instantly saw the potential for more daffodils and space for the lamb peeking through them. One of my former instructors always said, ?Listen to your painting.? This is exactly what I did here. Possibly, the idea of a lamb was inspired by the season of Easter as well.

Ailsa Craig is an island in the Irish Sea off the Scottish coast. Its a magical place and the colours of the sea and sky can be exquisitely beautiful. One of my favourite places to paint. This is one of a series of paintings I have done of the island.
