Good morning. First, I liked Martina very much. She is really delightful. I think she is good at teaching people with little to no experience with watercolor like me. She was very helpful and interested in teaching. I am glad I attended the class, however, there were issues I need to mention. I know you do not have control over the weather. It was certainly not the instructor's fault either. The winds were 13-20 mph with gusts as well. It was 55 degrees at 10 AM and 58 at 12 AM. The temperature would be great, but the wind made it impossible for me to hear her. It was a struggle for me the entire class. It was cold and windy, as I said, and so I was miserable. At one point, there was a gust of wind and another student's pad of watercolor paper flew up and hit me in the chin, which demonstrates the windiness of the morning. There was nothing to break the wind. All that being said, I want to take more classes, however, I want to know if you give refunds or credit for another class if there is weather that isn't conducive to learning. Or do you ever have indoor venues? I am very interested in learning much more about watercolor and will take as many classes as I am able. Kind regards, Rebecca Marseglia

It was cold outside but that wasn't the instructor's fault. Martina was very encouraging as a instructor and chose good exercises to learn with. My wife and I enjoyed the class. We would definitely take a class again with Martina.

This little calf had wandered away from her mother and was playing in a pasture, nearing sunset. She looked to be having so much fun as she pranced and bucked around, playing by herself. I call this Patsy In the Pasture. The location is on a ranch in Fort Bend County, Texas This is an 8x8 watercolor on 100 cotton, cold press.

Sulphur River runs through the Ladonia Community near Paris Texas home of my wife Jayne The Sulphur pretty much dries up most of the time and leaves exposed beautiful limestone rocks and banks . This area is a treasure trove for fossil hunters . The spots of water and limestone and shadows create an atmosphere of mystery and spooky isolation .Would not want to be there after sunset . I love painting this subject matter.

I painted this white hibiscus flower in August 2023. This was my first try at a large white flower, painted in negative ie I painted the background first. It ended up looking not entirely natural but I am happy with the shadows and with the modern aspect it has.

Title or Location: Dewberry Blossom
I am a beginner and had been painting Texas Wildflowers when a friend posted a photo of dewberry flowers (photo credit Chuck Thornton). I decided that it is often overlooked for spring blooms- being overshadowed by bluebonnets, etc.Still learning shading, etc. I have a great deal to learn but was happy with my effort. Interestingly- later caught a glance of it and it looked like a pointy-headed snowman wearing a fuzzy sweater (center of flower) and running! Having so much fun learning!
